Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Materials, Telecoms Services and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC fell 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Gentera SAB de CV (MX:GENTERA), which rose 1.91% or 0.610 points to trade at 32.580 at the close. Meanwhile, Industrias CH, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ICHB) added 1.98% or 1.120 points to end at 57.700 and Grupo Bimbo, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:BIMBOA) was up 1.50% or 0.700 points to 47.520 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Infraestructura Energetica Nova SAB (MX:IENOVA), which fell 3.65% or 2.82 points to trade at 74.40 at the close. Empresas ICA , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ICA) declined 3.10% or 0.200 points to end at 6.260 and Grupo Financiero Santander Mexico (MX:SANMEXB) was down 2.32% or 0.750 points to 31.510.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 77 to 73 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Gentera SAB de CV (MX:GENTERA) rose to all time highs; rising 1.91% or 0.610 to 32.580.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.37% or 4.00 to $1084.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.57% or 1.14 to hit $43.08 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 2.81% or 1.35 to trade at $46.75 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.17% to 16.7248, while EUR/MXN fell 0.02% to 17.9655.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.23% at 99.04.
