Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Healthcare and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 4.05%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were ING Groep NV (AMS:ING), which rose 7.10% or 0.885 points to trade at 13.355 at the close. Meanwhile, ASML Holding (AMS:ASML) added 5.50% or 4.11 points to end at 78.90 and Randstad (AMS:RAND) was up 5.17% or 2.78 points to 56.51 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Delta Lloyd (AMS:DLL), which fell 0.70% or 0.07 points to trade at 9.40 at the close. OCI (AMS:OCI) declined 0.31% or 0.075 points to end at 24.500 and TNT Express (AMS:TNTE) was up 0.13% or 0.010 points to 7.510.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 195 to 23 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Delta Lloyd (AMS:DLL) fell to 3-years lows; down 0.70% or 0.07 to 9.40.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 19.23% to 32.09.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 3.37% or 1.29 to $39.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.98% or 0.84 to hit $43.53 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.46% or 16.80 to trade at $1136.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 1.82% to 1.1407, while EUR/GBP fell 1.33% to 0.7268.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.37% at 94.66.
