Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Mining, Industrials and Banking & Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 4.99%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Minera Irl (LM:IRL), which rose 68.89% or 0.03 points to trade at 0.08 at the close. Meanwhile, Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) added 11.54% or 0.030 points to end at 0.290 and Ferreyros (LM:FER) was up 11.43% or 0.120 points to 1.170 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Enersur SA (LM:ENE), which fell 1.28% or 0.100 points to trade at 7.800 at the close. Backus Johnsto (LM:BKJi) unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to end at 13.000 and Panoro (LM:PML) was 0.00% or 0.000 points to 0.080.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 31 to 3 and 2 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 10.79% or 4.17 to $42.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 10.34% or 4.46 to hit $47.60 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.01% or 0.10 to trade at $1124.70 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.54% to 3.3061, while EUR/PEN fell 0.66% to 3.7310.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.48% at 95.76.
