In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.41% or 0.75 to $53.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.29% or 0.72 to hit $56.62 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.38% or 4.35 to trade at $1137.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/NGN was down 0.14% to 329.280, while USD/NGN fell 0.87% to 314.250.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.08% at 103.03.
