Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Public Services, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.68%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG), which rose 2.12% or 380.0 points to trade at 18280.0 at the close. Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) added 1.97% or 35.0 points to end at 1815.0 and Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) was up 1.76% or 260.0 points to 15060.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p), which lost 0.55% or 60.0 points to trade at 10800.0 in late trade. Grupo Inversiones Suramericana (CN:SIS) declined 0.26% or 100.0 points to end at 38000.0 and Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH) shed 0.24% or 60.0 points to 25040.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 22 to 4 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 0.86% or 1.23 to $141.62 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 1.56% or 48.00 to hit $3117.50 , while the August Gold contract fell 0.18% or 2.35 to trade at $1292.45 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 1.39% to 2978.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.80% to 876.09.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.64% at 93.70.
