Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Non-Metal Minerals, Industrials and Mining sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.67% to hit a new 3-years low.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Corporacion Aceros Arequipa SA (LM:ARE), which unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to trade at 0.460 at the close. Meanwhile, Ferreyros (LM:FER) unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to end at 1.280 and Cerro Verde (LM:CVE) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to 14.500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bco Continenta (LM:CON), which fell 6.00% or 0.150 points to trade at 2.350 at the close. Atacocha (LM:ATB) declined 5.94% or 0.006 points to end at 0.095 and Buenaventura (LM:BVN) was down 4.76% or 0.200 points to 4.000.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 21 to 1 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Bco Continenta (LM:CON) fell to 3-years lows; losing 6.00% or 0.150 to 2.350. Shares in Atacocha (LM:ATB) fell to all time lows; falling 5.94% or 0.006 to 0.095.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 4.79% or 1.50 to $29.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 5.39% or 1.67 to hit $29.21 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 1.46% or 15.70 to trade at $1089.30 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.32% to 3.4209, while EUR/PEN fell 0.49% to 3.7309.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.11% at 99.00.
