Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Media & Publishing, Industrial Investment and Agriculture & Food sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Al Sagr Co-operative Insurance Co (SE:8180), which rose 6.97% or 2.00 points to trade at 30.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Saudi Research and Marketing Group (SE:4210) added 4.52% or 1.40 points to end at 32.40 and AXA Cooperative Insurance Company (SE:8250) was up 4.15% or 0.70 points to 17.55 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Wataniya Insurance Company (SE:8300), which fell 4.21% or 3.00 points to trade at 68.25 at the close. National Medical Care Company (SE:4005) declined 3.78% or 2.25 points to end at 57.25 and ACE ARABIA COOPERATIVE INSURANCE (SE:8240) was down 2.60% or 1.50 points to 56.25.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 86 to 79 and 1 ended unchanged.
Shares in Saudi Research and Marketing Group (SE:4210) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 4.52% or 1.40 to 32.40.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.69% or 0.72 to $42.15 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.90% or 0.88 to hit $45.24 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.13% or 1.40 to trade at $1072.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.57% to 3.9747, while USD/SAR fell 0.05% to 3.7541.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.39% at 100.07.
