Dec 22 (Reuters) - Transport Canada said on Friday it suspended West Wind Aviation's air operator certificate, prohibiting the company from providing commercial air services.
A West Wind Aviation aircraft carrying 25 people, including three crew members, went down near the Fond-du-Lac airport on Dec. 13, after it took off in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. transport regulator said it identified deficiencies during a post-accident inspection in the company's operational control system, which ensures safety requirements compliance for dispatching of personnel and aircraft. regulator said it would not allow West Wind to resume its commercial air services until it adheres to aviation safety regulations.
