Investing.com-- Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris is in discussions for a potential interview with popular podcaster Joe Rogan, Reuters reported on Monday, with just a few weeks left to the 2024 elections.
Harris campaign officials met with Rogan’s team this week, the Reuters report said, but an interview has not yet been confirmed. The report comes just a day after reports said Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump was also fielding a possible appearance on Rogan’s podcast.
The Joe Rogan Experience is the most popular podcast in the U.S., with Spotify Technology (NYSE:SPOT)- which until 2024 held exclusive rights to the podcast- stating that the show had 14.5 million followers as of March. Rogan signed a new deal with Spotify earlier this year, reported to be worth about $250 million.
A bulk of Rogan’s audience consists of young men- a demographic that Harris has been relatively struggling to reach, especially in comparison to Trump, according to recent polls.
The potential interview with Rogan comes just weeks before the presidential election in November, which polls forecast to be a tight race.
