Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Investment, Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.68%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 3.51% or 110.0 points to trade at 3245.0 at the close. Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) added 2.04% or 300.0 points to end at 15020.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) was up 1.65% or 320.0 points to 19680.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Conconcret (CN:CIC), which lost 2.29% or 25.0 points to trade at 1065.0 in late trade. Interconexion Electrica SA (CN:ISA) declined 0.20% or 20.0 points to end at 10120.0 and Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH) shed 0.08% or 20.0 points to 24160.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 22 to 6 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was down 1.57% or 2.43 to $152.25 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 1.31% or 28.50 to hit $2201.50 , while the February Gold contract fell 0.69% or 8.35 to trade at $1207.25 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.34% to 2935.32, while BRL/COP rose 0.03% to 925.03.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.39% at 100.34.
