Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Telecoms and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which rose 4.65% or 0.0800 points to trade at 1.8000 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) added 0.44% or 0.0600 points to end at 13.7100 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) was up 0.41% or 0.0200 points to 4.8750 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Montepio (LS:MPIO), which lost 3.00% or 0.013 points to trade at 0.420 in late trade. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) declined 2.05% or 0.0080 points to end at 0.3830 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) shed 1.25% or 0.0640 points to 5.0680.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 17 and 8 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was down 0.18% or 0.09 to $51.28 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.35% or 0.17 to hit $48.32 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.21% or 2.55 to trade at $1203.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.14% to 1.0663, while EUR/GBP fell 0.76% to 0.8714.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 101.15.
