Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Metal Products & Machinery sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 1.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT), which rose 4.43% or 1.060 points to trade at 25.000 at the close. Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS) added 4.41% or 0.940 points to end at 22.260 and Aselsan Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ASELS) was up 3.97% or 1.18 points to 30.94 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Arcelik AS (IS:ARCLK), which lost 6.68% or 1.56 points to trade at 21.80 in late trade. Galatasaray Sportif Sinai ve Ticari Yatirimlar AS (IS:GSRAY) declined 4.89% or 0.43 points to end at 8.37 and Global Yatirim Holding AS (IS:GLYHO) shed 4.31% or 0.150 points to 3.330.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 238 to 128 and 38 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.12% or 1.54 to $1282.04 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $51.87 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.47% or 0.27 to trade at $57.48 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.12% to 3.7115, while EUR/TRY rose 0.91% to 4.3666.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 93.69.
