Investing.com – Belgium equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as in the sectors propelled shares .
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 unchanged 0.00%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BEL 20 were Anheuser Busch Inbev SA NV (BR:ABI), which rose 0.47% or 0.40 points to trade at 85.46 at the close. Sofina (BR:SOF) added 0.27% or 0.40 points to end at 146.20 and Etablissementen Fr Colruyt NV (BR:COLR) was up 0.23% or 0.11 points to 48.33 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Argen-X (BR:ARGX), which lost 3.23% or 2.40 points to trade at 72.00 in late trade. Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG) declined 1.99% or 1.680 points to end at 82.560 and Umicore SA (BR:UMI) shed 1.66% or 0.82 points to 48.60.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 81 to 33 and 16 ended unchanged on the Brussels Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.37% or 4.70 to $1251.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.93% or 0.68 to hit $73.44 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.12% or 0.09 to trade at $77.37 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.23% to 1.1580, while EUR/GBP rose 0.40% to 0.8845.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 94.91.
