Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Utilities and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.34%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which rose 1.46% or 0.155 points to trade at 10.760 at the close. Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) added 0.58% or 0.0050 points to end at 0.8710 and Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) was up 0.54% or 0.080 points to 15.010 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REN (LS:RENE), which lost 4.93% or 0.1440 points to trade at 2.7750 in late trade. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) declined 3.03% or 0.0660 points to end at 2.1150 and Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) shed 2.08% or 0.0070 points to 0.3300.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 17 to 15 and 10 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for June delivery was up 0.89% or 0.49 to $55.73 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 1.15% or 0.60 to hit $52.84 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.12% or 1.45 to trade at $1255.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.10% to 1.0602, while EUR/GBP fell 0.34% to 0.8536.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 100.91.
