Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Healthcare and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.16%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 3.08% or 0.2800 points to trade at 9.3750 at the close. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) added 2.34% or 0.15 points to end at 6.78 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 2.12% or 0.115 points to 5.550 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Konecranes Abp (HE:KCRA), which lost 2.44% or 0.83 points to trade at 33.23 in late trade. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) declined 0.88% or 0.23 points to end at 25.96 and Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV) shed 0.78% or 0.34 points to 43.05.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 74 to 61 and 16 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was down 0.10% or 0.05 to $51.32 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.33% or 0.16 to hit $48.33 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 1.85 to trade at $1203.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.14% to 1.0663, while EUR/GBP fell 0.75% to 0.8715.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 101.16.
