Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Financials and Investment sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.35% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (CN:GAA_p), which rose 0.37% or 5.0 points to trade at 1340.0 at the close. Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (CN:SIS) added 0.05% or 20.0 points to end at 41600.0 and Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) was up 0.03% or 20.0 points to 68540.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which lost 1.82% or 180.0 points to trade at 9720.0 in late trade. Interconnection Electric SA ESP (CN:ISA) declined 1.01% or 140.0 points to end at 13740.0 and Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) shed 1.02% or 120.0 points to 11680.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 5 and 6 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 3.27% or 4.28 to $126.67 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 3.20% or 65.50 to hit $2113.50 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.13% or 1.70 to trade at $1295.50 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.09% to 2954.37, while BRL/COP rose 0.23% to 932.01.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.40% at 92.72.
