Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 1.28%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV), which rose 4.05% or 1.57 points to trade at 40.37 at the close. Meanwhile, TeliaSonera AB (HE:TLS1V) added 3.93% or 0.164 points to end at 4.332 and Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMAS) was up 3.06% or 1.32 points to 44.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elisa Oyj (HE:ELI1V), which fell 0.89% or 0.30 points to trade at 33.31 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) declined 0.81% or 0.24 points to end at 29.26 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) was down 0.44% or 0.0100 points to 2.2480.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 118 to 57 and 8 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for April delivery was up 2.47% or 0.86 to $35.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.80% or 0.27 to hit $33.48 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.10% or 1.10 to trade at $1116.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 1.01% to 1.0830, while EUR/GBP rose 0.16% to 0.7630.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.10% at 99.70.
