Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Utilities, Healthcare and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.22%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which rose 4.48% or 0.52 points to trade at 12.12 at the close. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) added 1.03% or 0.39 points to end at 38.19 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was up 0.81% or 0.28 points to 34.77 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V), which lost 2.02% or 0.48 points to trade at 23.33 in late trade. Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) declined 1.38% or 0.47 points to end at 33.65 and Kemira Oyj (HE:KEMIRA) shed 0.85% or 0.09 points to 10.56.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 98 to 67 and 26 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was down 1.60% or 0.81 to $49.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 1.60% or 0.80 to hit $49.16 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 1.57% or 20.25 to trade at $1271.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.55% to 1.1253, while EUR/GBP fell 0.35% to 0.7673.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.42% at 94.07.
