Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Utilities, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.32%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which rose 8.47% or 0.55 points to trade at 6.98 at the close. Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) added 3.55% or 0.61 points to end at 17.79 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was up 2.36% or 1.17 points to 50.75 in late trade.
Biggest losers included KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV), which lost 1.79% or 0.82 points to trade at 44.97 in late trade. Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) declined 1.52% or 0.160 points to end at 10.380 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) shed 1.10% or 0.25 points to 22.45.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 78 to 61 and 18 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for March delivery was up 0.30% or 0.21 to $69.47 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.44% or 0.28 to hit $64.08 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.70% or 9.20 to trade at $1331.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.84% to 1.2133, while EUR/GBP fell 0.27% to 0.8864.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.65% at 91.06.
