Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 1.10% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which rose 4.43% or 0.680 points to trade at 16.040 at the close. UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) added 2.27% or 0.72 points to end at 32.46 and YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) was up 2.11% or 0.12 points to 5.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1), which lost 1.17% or 0.046 points to trade at 3.874 in late trade. Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) declined 0.38% or 0.035 points to end at 9.160 and Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) shed 0.11% or 0.05 points to 44.15.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 95 to 52 and 17 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was down 0.37% or 0.28 to $76.22 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.78% or 0.54 to hit $68.33 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.16% or 1.90 to trade at $1214.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.30% to 1.1713, while EUR/GBP rose 0.33% to 0.9092.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 94.49.
