Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Technology, Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.73%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 2.62% or 0.2000 points to trade at 7.8200 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) added 0.49% or 0.25 points to end at 50.80 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) was up 0.18% or 0.05 points to 27.46 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which lost 1.90% or 0.105 points to trade at 5.425 in late trade. Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) declined 1.40% or 0.65 points to end at 45.85 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) shed 1.24% or 0.20 points to 15.87.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 87 to 50 and 16 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was up 0.65% or 0.34 to $52.48 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.41% or 0.20 to hit $49.37 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.20% or 15.11 to trade at $1277.71 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.08% to 1.1743, while EUR/GBP fell 0.10% to 0.9038.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 93.51.
