Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 2.29% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which rose 3.92% or 0.88 points to trade at 23.31 at the close. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 0.11% or 0.06 points to end at 57.08 and Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) was down 0.63% or 0.30 points to 47.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which lost 5.44% or 0.400 points to trade at 6.950 in late trade. UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) declined 3.99% or 1.11 points to end at 26.68 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) shed 3.90% or 1.52 points to 37.47.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 99 to 39 and 15 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was down 1.45% or 0.95 to $64.56 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.59% or 0.98 to hit $60.81 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.65% or 8.50 to trade at $1323.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.18% to 1.2240, while EUR/GBP fell 0.43% to 0.8798.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 90.23.
