Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.30%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V), which rose 6.26% or 0.2720 points to trade at 4.6140 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HEL:NRE1V) added 3.85% or 1.07 points to end at 28.85 and YIT Oyj (HEL:YTY1V) was up 2.67% or 0.14 points to 5.58 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Neste Oil Oyj (HEL:NESTE), which fell 8.85% or 2.28 points to trade at 23.47 at the close. Amer Sports Corporation (HEL:AMEAS) declined 0.91% or 0.24 points to end at 26.20 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HEL:HUH1V) was down 0.68% or 0.22 points to 32.29.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 110 to 57 and 7 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was down 1.41% or 0.70 to $49.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.42% or 0.65 to hit $45.09 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.52% or 5.70 to trade at $1085.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.12% to 1.0868, while EUR/GBP fell 0.32% to 0.6970.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.18% at 98.22.
