Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.83%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which rose 2.70% or 0.24 points to trade at 9.31 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) added 2.38% or 0.80 points to end at 34.44 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELI1V) was up 1.92% or 0.66 points to 35.09 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 2.30% or 0.0660 points to trade at 2.8000 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 1.68% or 0.056 points to end at 3.284 and Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) was down 0.30% or 0.030 points to 10.070.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 100 to 81 and 2 ended unchanged.
Shares in Elisa Oyj (HE:ELI1V) rose to 5-year highs; up 1.92% or 0.66 to 35.09.
Brent oil for January delivery was down 1.27% or 0.56 to $43.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.71% or 0.29 to hit $41.03 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.35% or 3.80 to trade at $1084.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.65% to 1.0703, while EUR/GBP fell 0.50% to 0.7034.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.48% at 99.36.
