Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 1.09%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which rose 5.73% or 1.30 points to trade at 23.99 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 2.74% or 0.165 points to end at 6.190 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM1V) was up 2.66% or 0.41 points to 15.84 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 4.79% or 0.1460 points to trade at 2.9040 at the close. TeliaSonera AB (HE:TLS1V) declined 3.95% or 0.184 points to end at 4.480 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was down 3.45% or 0.132 points to 3.696.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 103 to 71 and 3 ended unchanged.
Shares in TeliaSonera AB (HE:TLS1V) fell to 5-year lows; losing 3.95% or 0.184 to 4.480.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.35% or 0.17 to $49.52 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.24% or 0.58 to hit $46.06 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.87% or 10.30 to trade at $1190.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.50% to 1.1417, while EUR/GBP fell 0.66% to 0.7364.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.24% at 94.21.
