Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare, Consumer Services and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 1.14% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 15.46% or 0.4500 points to trade at 3.3600 at the close. Meanwhile, Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) added 5.79% or 1.60 points to end at 29.25 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was up 2.84% or 0.66 points to 23.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which fell 1.56% or 0.09 points to trade at 5.36 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) declined 0.90% or 0.25 points to end at 27.47 and TeliaSonera AB (HE:TLS1V) was down 0.84% or 0.038 points to 4.510.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 125 to 50 and 7 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 2.45% or 1.24 to $49.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.10% or 1.00 to hit $46.72 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.90% or 10.70 to trade at $1172.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.22% to 1.1322, while EUR/GBP fell 0.45% to 0.7317.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.22% at 94.97.
