Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 2.24%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Amer Sports Corporation (HEL:AMEAS), which rose 4.18% or 0.97 points to trade at 24.19 at the close. Meanwhile, Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V) added 4.13% or 0.1580 points to end at 3.9820 and Neste Oil Oyj (HEL:NESTE) was up 3.82% or 0.86 points to 23.36 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were KONE Oyj (HEL:KNEBV), which rose 0.09% or 0.03 points to trade at 35.17 at the close. Metso Oyj (HEL:MEO1V) added 0.29% or 0.07 points to end at 24.25 and YIT Oyj (HEL:YTY1V) was up 0.68% or 0.04 points to 6.64.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 139 to 32 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was up 0.40% or 0.23 to $58.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.21% or 0.11 to hit $52.89 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.28% or 3.30 to trade at $1162.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 1.16% to 1.1165, while EUR/GBP rose 0.37% to 0.7202.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.74% at 95.95.
