Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Basic Materials and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HEL:NESTE), which rose 2.11% or 0.52 points to trade at 25.14 at the close. Meanwhile, Tieto Oyj (HEL:TIE1V) added 1.00% or 0.23 points to end at 23.13 and Valmt (HEL:VALMT) was up 0.49% or 0.05 points to 10.27 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HEL:NRE1V), which fell 1.80% or 0.48 points to trade at 26.25 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HEL:OTE1V) declined 1.47% or 0.085 points to end at 5.695 and Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V) was down 1.23% or 0.0500 points to 4.0240.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 92 to 79 and 3 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was down 0.27% or 0.14 to $49.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.53% or 0.23 to hit $42.88 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.49% or 5.50 to trade at $1118.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.27% to 1.1081, while EUR/GBP rose 0.01% to 0.7108.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.19% at 96.79.
