Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Basic Materials and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 1.50%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which rose 0.74% or 0.28 points to trade at 38.16 at the close. Meanwhile, Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) added 0.53% or 0.17 points to end at 32.38 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) was up 0.42% or 0.10 points to 23.68 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 5.70% or 0.2000 points to trade at 3.3100 at the close. Kemira Oyj (HE:KRA1V) declined 4.87% or 0.54 points to end at 10.55 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was down 4.79% or 1.63 points to 32.42.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 120 to 59 and 5 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 1.92% or 0.92 to $46.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.46% or 1.08 to hit $42.90 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1165.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.14% to 1.1041, while EUR/GBP rose 0.18% to 0.7215.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.09% at 97.00.
