Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Utilities, Basic Materials and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 2.42%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Konecranes Oyj (HEL:KCR1V), which rose 0.28% or 0.06 points to trade at 21.24 at the close. Meanwhile, Wartsila Oyj Abp (HEL:WRT1V) fell 1.03% or 0.35 points to end at 33.73 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HEL:NRE1V) was down 1.08% or 0.30 points to 27.53 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V), which fell 6.85% or 0.1520 points to trade at 2.0680 at the close. YIT Oyj (HEL:YTY1V) declined 4.40% or 0.22 points to end at 4.69 and Outotec Oyj (HEL:OTE1V) was down 4.23% or 0.150 points to 3.396.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 145 to 32 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V) fell to 3-years lows; falling 6.85% or 0.1520 to 2.0680. Shares in Outotec Oyj (HEL:OTE1V) fell to 5-year lows; losing 4.23% or 0.150 to 3.396.
Brent oil for November delivery was down 2.40% or 1.17 to $47.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.39% or 1.09 to hit $44.61 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.07% or 12.30 to trade at $1133.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.35% to 1.1235, while EUR/GBP rose 0.21% to 0.7390.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.28% at 96.09.
