Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Utilities and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.85%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were AS Company SA (AT:ASCr), which rose 7.07% or 0.140 points to trade at 2.120 at the close. Motor Oil Hellas Corinth Refineries SA (AT:MORr) added 1.86% or 0.34 points to end at 18.64 and Crete Plastics SA (AT:PLAKR) was up 1.64% or 0.200 points to 12.400 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Athens Water (AT:EYDr), which lost 4.76% or 0.30 points to trade at 6.00 in late trade. Marfin Invest (AT:MRFr) declined 4.08% or 0.006 points to end at 0.141 and Select Textile (AT:EPIr) shed 4.00% or 0.010 points to 0.240.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 69 to 43 and 12 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.31% or 4.10 to $1334.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.54% or 0.34 to hit $63.89 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.34% or 0.23 to trade at $67.27 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.00% to 1.2304, while EUR/GBP rose 0.17% to 0.8820.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 89.84.
