Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Sunday, as gains in the Biomed, Insurance and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.45%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 8.41% or 146 points to trade at 1882 at the close. Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) added 2.09% or 166 points to end at 8096 and Perrigo (TA:PRGO) was up 1.87% or 510 points to 27760 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Big Shopping Centers Ltd (TA:BIG), which lost 1.56% or 380 points to trade at 24050 in late trade. Melisron (TA:MLSR) declined 1.45% or 210 points to end at 14300 and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) shed 0.92% or 80 points to 8650.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 206 to 185 and 23 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.33% or 0.97 to $73.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.34% or 0.26 to hit $77.13 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.23% or 2.90 to trade at $1255.90 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.41% to 3.6246, while EUR/ILS rose 0.03% to 4.2566.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.39% at 93.76.
