Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Sunday, as gains in the Biomed, Technology and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 1.20% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK), which rose 22.30% or 163 points to trade at 894 at the close. Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) added 5.00% or 274 points to end at 5749 and Liveperson (TASE:LPSN) was up 4.47% or 435 points to 10160 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Leumi (TASE:LUMI), which lost 1.79% or 46 points to trade at 2530 in late trade. Isramco Negev 2 LP (TASE:ISRAp) declined 0.78% or 0.6 points to end at 75.9 and Delek Group (TASE:DLEKG) shed 0.69% or 420 points to 60820.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 276 to 106 and 34 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 2.07% or 1.23 to $58.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.95% or 1.28 to hit $64.39 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1412.50 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.02% to 3.5693, while EUR/ILS fell 0.02% to 4.0583.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 95.730.
