Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Sunday, as gains in the Biomed, Technology and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 1.43%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA), which rose 3.03% or 580 points to trade at 19730 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) added 2.38% or 32 points to end at 1375 and Fattal 1998 Holdings Ltd (TA:FATTAL) was up 1.24% or 510 points to 41600 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Strauss Group (TA:STRS), which lost 1.59% or 131 points to trade at 8132 in late trade. Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA:ORL) declined 1.28% or 2.3 points to end at 177.4 and Paz Oil (TA:PZOL) shed 1.06% or 590 points to 55200.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 214 to 165 and 40 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.30% or 0.83 to $62.86 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.44% or 0.32 to hit $72.57 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.11% or 1.40 to trade at $1234.60 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.29% to 3.6913, while EUR/ILS fell 0.62% to 4.1996.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 96.29.
