Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Biomed, Real Estate and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 lost 0.40%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL), which rose 1.91% or 46 points to trade at 2455 at the close. Meanwhile, Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT) added 1.59% or 510 points to end at 32680 and Avner L (TA:AVNRp) was up 1.57% or 4.5 points to 291.1 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which fell 4.74% or 291 points to trade at 5854 at the close. Perrigo (TA:PRGO) declined 2.89% or 2090 points to end at 70300 and Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) was down 1.29% or 190 points to 14510.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 175 to 148 and 124 ended unchanged.
Shares in Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT) rose to all time highs; up 1.59% or 510 to 32680.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.57% or 0.71 to $44.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.64% or 0.32 to hit $49.27 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.30% or 3.30 to trade at $1088.90 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.06% to 3.8129, while EUR/ILS rose 0.01% to 4.1613.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.04% at 98.02.
