Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Utilities, Telecoms and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Atlantia (MI:ATL), which rose 1.91% or 0.51 points to trade at 27.25 at the close. Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) added 1.43% or 0.47 points to end at 33.45 and Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) was up 1.31% or 0.32 points to 24.77 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Salvatore Ferragamo (MI:SFER), which lost 3.33% or 0.81 points to trade at 23.51 in late trade. Enel (MI:ENEI) declined 1.17% or 0.060 points to end at 5.050 and Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI) shed 1.14% or 0.0520 points to 4.5240.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 196 to 171 and 15 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.30% or 0.15 to $50.31 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.55% or 0.31 to hit $55.81 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.34% or 4.37 to trade at $1276.17 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.18% to 1.1753, while EUR/GBP rose 0.43% to 0.8874.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 93.39.
