The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Banco Bpm SpA (MI:BAMI), which rose 7.17% or 0.144 points to trade at 2.152 at the close. Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI) added 6.31% or 0.2160 points to end at 3.6400 and Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII) was up 4.27% or 0.169 points to 4.126 in late trade.
Biggest losers included STMicroelectronics (MI:STM), which lost 4.63% or 0.800 points to trade at 16.480 in late trade. Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) declined 3.95% or 1.52 points to end at 36.98 and Tenaris (MI:TENR) shed 2.97% or 0.42 points to 13.89.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 210 to 162 and 25 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.16% or 0.81 to $69.06 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.90% or 0.70 to hit $77.47 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.27% or 3.20 to trade at $1202.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.35% to 1.1623, while EUR/GBP fell 0.09% to 0.9003.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 95.11.
