Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Insurance, Energy & Utilities and Agriculture & Food sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 0.36%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Arabian Shield Coop Insurance Co (SE:8070), which rose 9.86% or 2.90 points to trade at 32.30 at the close. ALAHLI TAKAFUL COMPANY (SE:8130) added 9.09% or 3.30 points to end at 39.60 and Saudi Steel Pipe Company (SE:1320) was up 5.51% or 0.95 points to 18.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Saudi Company for Hardware (SE:4008), which lost 2.15% or 1.75 points to trade at 79.75 in late trade. Fawaz Abdulaziz AlHokair Company (SE:4240) declined 1.99% or 0.70 points to end at 34.50 and Saudi Ground Services Co (SE:4031) shed 1.57% or 1.00 points to 62.50.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 99 to 35 and 35 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.62% or 0.33 to $53.63 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.43% or 0.24 to hit $55.59 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.25% or 2.85 to trade at $1136.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.27% to 3.9082, while USD/SAR fell 0.01% to 3.7508.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.28% at 102.97.
