Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Non-Metal Minerals, Industrials and Mining sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which rose 10.03% or 0.300 points to trade at 3.290 at the close. Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) added 3.85% or 0.030 points to end at 0.810 and Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG) was up 3.57% or 0.050 points to 1.450 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Luz Del Sur (LM:LUZ), which lost 3.04% or 0.400 points to trade at 12.750 in late trade. Milpo (LM:MIL) declined 1.96% or 0.070 points to end at 3.500 and Credicorp (LM:BAP) shed 1.46% or 2.390 points to 160.810.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 12 to 11 and 10 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.94% or 0.50 to $52.51 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.80% or 0.45 to hit $55.56 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.16% or 1.95 to trade at $1197.85 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.09% to 3.3663, while EUR/PEN fell 0.32% to 3.5766.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.28% at 101.18.
