Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms Services, Healthcare and Consumer Staples sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC fell 0.22%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Gentera SAB de CV (MX:GENTERA), which rose 3.94% or 0.610 points to trade at 16.090 at the close. Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (MX:GFINBURO) added 3.29% or 0.930 points to end at 29.230 and Grupo Financiero Banorte (MX:GFNORTEO) was up 2.99% or 3.100 points to 106.710 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB), which lost 3.81% or 0.510 points to trade at 12.880 in late trade. PINFRA SAB De CV (MX:PINFRA) declined 3.38% or 6.57 points to end at 188.02 and El Puerto De Liverpool Sab De CV (MX:LIVEPOLC1) shed 2.40% or 3.23 points to 131.26.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 137 to 128 and 14 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.07% or 0.85 to $1288.25 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 1.71% or 0.90 to hit $51.69 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 1.82% or 1.12 to trade at $60.56 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.07% to 19.1358, while EUR/MXN fell 0.23% to 21.9372.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 95.270.
