Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Beverage, Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure and Invest Companies & Other Finance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares rose 0.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Stroc Industrie (CS:STR), which rose 9.89% or 2.67 points to trade at 29.67 at the close. Ennakl Automobiles SA (CS:NKL) added 9.50% or 3.80 points to end at 43.80 and Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS:SNA) was up 7.45% or 1.20 points to 17.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO), which lost 4.79% or 70 points to trade at 1390 in late trade. Bmce Bank (CS:BMCE) declined 2.29% or 4.80 points to end at 205.10 and S2M (CS:S2M) shed 1.64% or 4.75 points to 285.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 33 to 15 and 7 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.50% or 0.33 to $65.62 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.98% or 0.76 to hit $76.56 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.03% or 0.40 to trade at $1302.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.08% to 11.1260, while USD/MAD rose 0.20% to 9.4548.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 93.56.
