Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Pharmaceutical Industry, Telecoms and Software & Computer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares rose 0.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Cartier Saada (CS:CRS), which rose 9.30% or 3.30 points to trade at 38.80 at the close. Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) added 8.33% or 1.98 points to end at 25.75 and Sothema (CS:SOT) was up 5.96% or 101 points to 1796 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Med Paper (CS:PAP), which lost 3.25% or 0.74 points to trade at 22.00 in late trade. Risma (CS:RIS) declined 3.16% or 5.00 points to end at 153.00 and Douja Prom Addoha (CS:ADH) shed 2.86% or 0.40 points to 13.60.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 16 and 13 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.82% or 0.98 to $54.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 2.20% or 1.34 to hit $62.18 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.26% or 3.45 to trade at $1321.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.10% to 10.9168, while USD/MAD fell 0.12% to 9.5168.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 95.227.
