Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure, Construction & Building Materials and Forestry & Paper sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.37%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Oulmes (CS:OULM), which rose 5.97% or 101 points to trade at 1793 at the close. Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO) added 5.93% or 88 points to end at 1571 and Miniere Touissit (CS:CMT) was up 4.31% or 67 points to 1620 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Involys (CS:INV), which lost 6.55% or 9.10 points to trade at 129.90 in late trade. Sonasid (CS:SOND) declined 6.28% or 50 points to end at 746 and Residences Dar Saada SA (CS:RDS) shed 5.52% or 9.00 points to 154.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 22 to 19 and 4 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.75% or 0.46 to $62.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.27% or 0.18 to hit $68.02 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 2.00 to trade at $1320.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.24% to 11.2500, while USD/MAD fell 0.25% to 9.3172.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 91.67.
