Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Software & Computer Services and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares rose 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Jet Contractors (CS:JET), which rose 4.90% or 10.00 points to trade at 214.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Hps (CS:HPS) added 3.26% or 15.00 points to end at 475.00 and Sonasid (CS:SOND) was up 3.15% or 22 points to 720 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Micro Data SA (CS:MIC), which fell 5.52% or 6.90 points to trade at 118.10 at the close. Managem (CS:MNG) declined 4.80% or 42 points to end at 832 and Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) was down 2.83% or 3.00 points to 103.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 22 to 15 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Micro Data SA (CS:MIC) fell to 52-week lows; losing 5.52% or 6.90 to 118.10.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 4.01% or 1.73 to $41.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 3.35% or 1.64 to hit $47.17 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.98% or 11.00 to trade at $1127.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.21% to 10.8310, while USD/MAD fell 0.19% to 9.7922.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.11% at 96.88.
