Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Utilities, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Food, Beverages & Tobacco sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.14%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG), which rose 3.32% or 4.70 points to trade at 146.40 at the close. Nordic Nanovector ASA (OL:NANOV) added 2.99% or 2.30 points to end at 79.30 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) was up 2.63% or 1.70 points to 66.45 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY), which lost 4.48% or 2.65 points to trade at 59.50 in late trade. Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) declined 1.04% or 0.70 points to end at 66.40 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) shed 0.98% or 1.8 points to 182.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 91 to 84 and 26 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.33% or 0.19 to $57.11 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.32% or 0.20 to hit $62.33 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.68% or 8.76 to trade at $1273.34 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.94% to 9.8731, while USD/NOK rose 0.52% to 8.2981.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 92.98.
