Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Transport, Energy and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.36%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which rose 4.71% or 3.30 points to trade at 73.40 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) added 3.36% or 8.00 points to end at 243.50 and Norwegian Finans Holding ASA (OL:NOFI) was up 2.80% or 2.55 points to 93.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Questerre Energy Corporation (OL:QEC), which lost 7.11% or 0.28 points to trade at 3.60 in late trade. Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) declined 2.02% or 1.1 points to end at 55.4 and Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) shed 1.98% or 7.0 points to 346.6.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 89 to 86 and 22 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.05% or 0.03 to $66.61 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.96% or 0.74 to hit $76.00 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.52% or 6.80 to trade at $1308.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.35% to 9.4135, while USD/NOK rose 0.97% to 8.0898.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.94% at 94.44.
