Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Transport and Consumer Durables And Apparel sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.55%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OL:REC), which rose 7.94% or 0.11 points to trade at 1.51 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) added 6.06% or 0.38 points to end at 6.65 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was up 3.77% or 12.9 points to 355.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL), which lost 3.96% or 1.10 points to trade at 26.70 in late trade. Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) declined 1.69% or 3.8 points to end at 221.4 and Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) shed 1.48% or 2.00 points to 132.70.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 84 to 79 and 28 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 3.32% or 1.34 to $41.70 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 3.76% or 1.61 to hit $44.44 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.10% or 1.20 to trade at $1256.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.40% to 9.3166, while USD/NOK fell 0.27% to 8.1782.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.06% at 94.03.
