Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Insurance, Auto & components and Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.99% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC), which rose 2.08% or 2.4 points to trade at 117.8 at the close. Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) added 1.97% or 1.0 points to end at 51.9 and SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) was up 1.86% or 4.20 points to 229.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which lost 1.88% or 0.23 points to trade at 12.02 in late trade. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 1.27% or 0.21 points to end at 16.30 and Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) shed 1.02% or 1.50 points to 145.90.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 98 to 78 and 33 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.43% or 0.68 to $48.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $53.77 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.98% or 13.19 to trade at $1338.01 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.80% to 9.3878, while USD/NOK rose 1.41% to 7.8484.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.58% at 91.84.
