Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Software & Computer Services, Media and Real Estate sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.48%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Yara International ASA (OL:YAR), which rose 10.92% or 31.3 points to trade at 317.9 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 5.12% or 0.92 points to end at 18.89 and Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS) was up 4.27% or 0.4 points to 8.8 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which lost 2.82% or 0.04 points to trade at 1.38 in late trade. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) declined 1.69% or 0.50 points to end at 29.00 and Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) shed 1.32% or 0.3 points to 22.4.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 97 to 88 and 14 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.06% or 0.03 to $48.25 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.45% or 0.23 to hit $50.66 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.72% or 9.80 to trade at $1347.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.56% to 9.3061, while USD/NOK rose 0.84% to 8.2202.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.46% at 94.54.
