Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Software & Computer Services, Transport and Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.10%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which rose 10.10% or 0.11 points to trade at 1.21 at the close. TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) added 5.01% or 8.8 points to end at 184.4 and Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) was up 1.86% or 2.70 points to 147.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which lost 4.68% or 11.4 points to trade at 232.0 in late trade. BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) declined 3.67% or 1.37 points to end at 35.93 and Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) shed 3.60% or 5.0 points to 133.7.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 103 to 72 and 34 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.42% or 0.67 to $48.00 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.41% or 0.71 to hit $50.93 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.42% or 5.11 to trade at $1224.01 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.34% to 9.3411, while USD/NOK fell 0.36% to 8.5930.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 99.47.
